小黄书 participates in the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Student Loan programs through the Department of Education.

To be considered for federal student aid, prospective students must complete and submit a (FAFSA).聽 The purpose of this form is to collect financial information in order to calculate the expected family contribution (EFC).聽 An EFC will determine a student鈥檚 eligibility through computer matches with other agencies.聽 Our financial aid administrators are available to walk individuals through the process of applying for financial aid.聽 The FAFSA is available to view online by .

Eligibility

Eligibility for federal student aid is based on financial need in addition to several other factors.聽 The financial aid administrators at 小黄书 will determine eligibility based on the results of your FAFSA.聽 Most importantly, make sure to enter our school code on your FAFSA: 041748

Federal Pell Grant

Unlike a student loan, a Federal Pell Grant聽 does not have to be repaid.聽 Pell Grants are considered a foundation of federal financial aid, to which aid from other federal and non-federal sources may be added.聽 In addition, Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who have not previously earned a Bachelor鈥檚 or Professional Degree.

Federal Student Loans

Will you need a loan to attend 小黄书?聽 If so, you may consider federal student loans.聽 Federal loans are borrowed funds that must be repaid with interest.聽 A federal student loan allows students and their parents, to borrow money for college.聽 This money is available through loan programs supported by the federal government.聽 In addition, the loans have low interest rates and offer flexible repayment terms, benefits, as well as other options.
Beginning July 1, 2010, all new Stafford and PLUS loans will be made under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (Direct Loan programs).聽 In the Direct Loan, the U.S. Government is the lender, and loan funds are provided to students through the school.
